GREAT Scholarships for Postgraduate Nigerian Students.
GREAT Scholarships offer students the opportunity to receive £10,000 towards their tuition fees for a wide range of one-year taught postgraduate courses in the 2025-26 academic year at universities across the UK.
For the 2025-26 academic year, postgraduate scholarships are available to students from Nigeria at the following institutions.
UK universities offering GREAT Scholarships
Anglia Ruskin University - This is one of the largest modern universities in the east of England, with four faculties and six research institutes.
City, University of London - A university with strong links with the financial and professional heart of Britain.
Edinburgh Napier University - A university with three campuses in Edinburgh offering advanced facilities for learning, teaching and research.
Keele University - A multi-cultural and diverse student community that welcomes students from over 120 countries.
Lancaster University - A beautiful parkland campus in north west England.
Robert Gordon University - A university consistently recognised for teaching excellence and student employability.
Royal Holloway, University of London - founded over 170 years ago with a clear ambition to challenge conventions and think differently.

Eligibility Criteria to gain a Great Scholarship.
1.) Must be a citizen and resident of Nigeria.
2.) Must have an undergraduate degree, be motivated, and have an interest in the proposed subject area.
3.) Must meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI
4.) Must establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
be willing to attend a networking event of all UK based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK.
5.) Must be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships, as an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about their own experience of studying in the UK.

The deadline to apply for a GREAT Scholarship varies according to each institution.
Successful scholars will be informed by individual universities on the result of their applications.
Scholarship funding will be issued to successful scholars by individual universities after registration.
